General Information
The Kids, Incorporated Track program is open to boys & girls age four (4) through sixth grade. A child must be four (4) years of age, on or before the first meet of the season to be eligible to participate.
Each team will participate in one meet per weekend. Meets take place at the following times:
- Saturday mornings (10:00am)
- Saturday afternoons (2:00pm)
Children in Pre-K through 4th grade compete on 220-yard tracks situated in various parks around Amarillo. For this age group, all races use a relay format, either 4-person or 8-person.
The 5th and 6th graders compete on a regulation 400-meter track. For this age group, there are individual, as well as relay races involved. There are no field events.
At the conclusion of each race, every participant receives a ribbon, so no one ever goes home empty-handed!
The program fee is $35. Your program fee includes the following:
- a team t-shirt for your child to keep (participants must wear the official Kids, Incorporated t-shirt in order to be eligible to participate in each meet)
- a year-end individual award
- four track meets
- paid meet coordinators
Makeup Plan Due To Weather
- Saturday 10:00am meets postponed due to weather will be made up on the following Monday evening beginning at 6:00pm.
- Saturday 2:00pm meets postponed due to weather will be made up on the following Tuesday evening beginning at 6:00pm.
