Criminal Background Checks

All staff and volunteers are required to have a current Criminal Background Check on file in the Kids, Incorporated office. A positive criminal history report must be obtained before an individual is allowed to be hired as a member of the professional staff, serve as a volunteer coach, or before being allowed to officiate for the various sports programs.

Concussion Resources

The subject of concussion in sports is a "hot topic" these days. While head injuries occur in all walks of life, Kids, Incorporated wants to steer parents and coaches in the direction of valuable resource material concerning the issue. The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention provides very concise and concrete information on the subject of concussions in youth sports.

Help Lift A Child's Voice With
Amarillo Area CASA

AACASA advocates for children of abuse and neglect through the efforts of trained volunteers appointed by the court to ensure them a safe, nurturing, and permanent environment.

In the state of Texas in 2011, there were 65,948 confirmed victims of child abuse. Of those abuse situations, 231 resulted in death. In the 7 counties that AACASA serves (Potter, Randall, Carson, Swisher, Armstrong, Briscoe, and Hutchinson), there were 1,255 children abused in 2011 with 3 instances resulting in death.
