Rockrose Sports Park – Home Field Advantage Campaign Update
It is with great joy and humility that Kids, Incorporated announces another major gift for the Rockrose Sports Park Campaign. The Paul F. and Virginia J. Engler Foundation has agreed to fund a gift in the amount of $2 million. A section of the multi-purpose portion of the new sports complex will be named in honor of the Paul F. and Virginia J. Engler Foundation.
“We are profoundly grateful for this transformative gift”, says Jimmy R. Lackey, President & CEO for Kids, Incorporated. “This gift from the Paul F. and Virginia J. Engler Foundation is quite substantial. It also reflects a deep belief in the mission and scope of Kids, Incorporated and the future we are building for this community.”
“As a young boy who grew up in Dumas, I knew Mr. Engler”, Lackey continues. “He and my dad were good friends. This gift has a very special and personal significance for me. I am thrilled that a section of our new complex will bear his name. The generosity of the Paul F. and Virginia J. Engler Foundation strengthens our resolve and reminds us of the incredible faith and trust that has been placed in us by our donors and the citizens in this region.”
Angela Lust, MBA, ChFC, Executive Director of the The Paul F. and Virginia J. Engler
Foundation, shared the following:
“The Paul F. & Virginia J. Engler Foundation was established to support education, economic opportunity, and basic human needs. This grant speaks to those objectives and demonstrates courageous leadership in addressing an overdue need for a multipurpose sportsplex. In addition to assuring that generations of youth will continue to thrive, grow and discover their full potential through sports, this project offers important economic impacts by providing a destination for regional sports competitions.”
