Excited to welcome Dalton Bell and Tanner Clark to the Kids, Inc. Team
Dalton Bell
Dalton Bell is the founder and commissioner of West Texas NFL FLAG, which he launched in 2015. The league recently completed its 10th fall season and has grown into one of the premier select, competitive youth flag football leagues in the Texas Panhandle, serving athletes in the Canyon and Amarillo areas.
West Texas NFL FLAG was founded by Dalton Bell and Matt Allen, high school friends and former teammates, with a shared vision of bringing a new, exciting brand of flag football to local youth—one that emphasizes skill development, competition, sportsmanship, and character.
A Canyon native, Dalton participated in multiple sports through Kids Inc as a youth athlete and went on to become a multi-sport standout at Canyon High School. He continued his football career at West Texas A&M University, where he enjoyed an outstanding collegiate career as the Buffaloes’ quarterback.
As a junior in 2005, Bell led WT to its first Lone Star Conference Championship in 20 years and the first Division II playoff appearance in school history. He was a two-time All-American (2005, 2006), a Harlon Hill Trophy finalist, and finished his career with a 21–4 record as a starter—never losing a regular-season road game.
Dalton went on to play professional football in the NFL with the Carolina Panthers, Green Bay Packers, and Seattle Seahawks, as well as in the CFL with the Saskatchewan Roughriders and Toronto Argonauts.
He is a member of the WTAMU Hall of Champions and the Canyon ISD Athletics Hall of Fame, and he currently serves on the WTAMU Hall of Champions selection committee.
Dalton and his wife, Abbie, live in Canyon with their children—Boston, Bowen, Romie, and Noah
Tanner Clark
A Canyon native with deep roots in the Texas Panhandle. He attended Canyon High School and then went on to West Texas A&M University, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems. There he met his wife, Krissy. They’ve now been happily married for 21 years and are proud parents to their son Jacob (15) and daughter Lizzy (10).
For the past eight years, Tanner has helped support West Texas NFL Flag Football, managing much of the league’s technology behind the scenes, from registration and scheduling to website updates and playoff coordination, doing whatever it takes to keep things running smoothly.
Professionally, Tanner is a partner and senior developer at Code Share Studios, where he focuses on building innovative technology solutions for clients.
A former Canyon High School football and track athlete, Tanner has a lifelong passion for sports and is committed to creating a positive environment where kids can play, grow their skills, build confidence, and develop a lasting love for the game.
