Learn to Play Pickleball

Is Learn to Play Pickleball right for your child?

The best thing about pickleball is that it’s easy to learn, fun to play, and can help a child build confidence and coordination. With lighter paddles, smaller courts, and slower-moving balls, it’s the perfect way for beginners to build skills while having fun.

Who will teach the clinics?

Learn to Play Pickleball will be taught by Pickleball enthusiasts in our community. All volunteer “coaches” are required to pass a criminal background authorization.

What will your child learn?

Learn to Play Pickleball will introduce kids to the fundamentals of the game —serving, rallying, scoring, and teamwork —in a safe, encouraging environment.

Pickleball uses a smaller, modified court that’s just the right size for young players. The paddle and perforated plastic ball move at a comfortable pace, allowing kids to practice control and hand-eye coordination while enjoying success right from the start.

Players will be grouped by age.

More details regarding age groups will be announced as players register and we determine even division.
SESSION 1: 9 to 10 am
SESSION 2: 10:30 to 11:30 am

Learn to Play Pickleball Sessions are held at Amarillo Netplex.

3723 SW 58th Ave.
Amarillo, TX 79110

*Any inclement weather announcements will be published on the Kids, Inc. & the Alex O’Brien Tennis Foundation Facebook pages.
